Travel authorities and visas

European Union citizens do not require a Visa to travel to Italy.
All foreigners intending to enter Italy must provide the documentation required to justify the reasons for and duration of their stay, as well as, in some cases, the availability of adequate economic means and lodging.
Application for a visa can be made at the Italian Diplomatic and Consular Representations in your country of residence.

The official currency is the Euro €. You will fnd several change offices and banks at the airports and in the city centre. Banks are open on working days, generally between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Before changing your money, we advise you to ask about the commission charge. You can also withdraw cash at the ATM.
